ONTARIO'S VIOXX CLASS ACTION WAS CERTIFIED ON JULY 28TH 2008. Our law firm, based in
Ontario, Canada represents Canadians in every province with Vioxx Claims
against Merck. The anti-inflammatory drug Vioxx was recalled in 2004 after
strong evidence showed it caused users to suffer heart attacks and strokes.
Similar and worse reactions occur with the recalled Pfizer drug Bextra. We
are working to get fair compensation for the Canadian victims of these drugs. Vioxx
claims are settled
for USA claimants by agreement completed July 17, 2008 but nowhere else yet.
Recently Pfizer has started to settle
individual Bextra (and Celebrex) claims. We are working towards
settlement in Canada for Vioxx and Bextra. The certification of Ontario's
class action on July 28 includes Canadians in every Province except Quebec
and Saskatchewan and makes it more likely we will reach settlement sooner.
